The Rich Roffman Show broadcasts Monday through Friday from 5-6 PM on 880 AM on the dial. Hosted by veteran publisher, Richard Roffman, the show is fast paced and features quick reports, humor, and sarcasm incorporating regular and invited guests. Imagine Mel Brooks meets the Wall Street Journal. There is a mix of live as well as recorded interviews with featured “correspondents” and guests a la Sid Caesar’s Show of Shows, The Steve Allen Show and perhaps The Daily Show.
But it’s also serious. A good deal of the show incorporates serious discussion of national and local issues with guests along with questions and interaction from the audience; real discussion of real issues with a local relevance. The show is about what makes South Florida work—or not work. It presents business intelligence about local and national companies. It analyzes the good, the bad, the problems, fears and frustrations of the people who “work” the community—who give it color and make it thrive. It features local, state, national and international business and political leaders with a focus on how they affect us—ideas and concerns that make sense to us and fit into our daily lives. Topics include: elections, government, real estate, taxes, insurance, financial, legal issues, accounting, family, education, crime, healthcare, entertainment, commuting, international trade, security, travel, and energy. The bottom line is that this is entertainment. It’s a lively talk show about our region—where we live and work. Good ideas and topics are presented and business intelligence is always forthcoming. But—it is a good time and fun to listen to. |
